October Update 2008
NZ tour a success: Bryce
is back in Taranaki after a successful September ANZAC New
Zealand acoustic tour with Australian recording artist Stu
Larsen and TEAR
FUND (charity organisation)
Bryce and Stu performed in a total of 14 venues
from Schools, Churches, Cafe's, Bars from Auckland, Rotorua,
Upper Hutt, Wellington, Cook Straight Ferry, Picton, Nelson,
and ending to an amped home crowd of 100 packed into Esquires
Coffee House in New Plymouth.
TEAR
FUND NZ was happy with the results and 16 children
from less privalidged communities were sponsored for education/medical
as a result of the tour and generosity of the New Zealand
public.
"It was amazing meeting so many inspiring
people and hearing stories about Kiwi's who have sponsored
disadvantaged kids for education and seeing them graduate
from University.. it really helped fuel our performances and
passion for this worthy cause."

WINTER SCHOOL MUSIC FESTIVAL - WHAT A NIGHT!!
PICS HERE
A big huge thankyou to all the kids at the winter
school music festival in New Plymouth recently for a fantastic
event!
Imagine 200 kids on a beautifully lit stage singing my song
‘ Little Star ‘ at the top of their lungs!
It sounded amazing and there will be video up on you tube
soon…
I had a blast working with primary school 10 pc band made
up of 9 yr old kids. I spent 2 months teaching them to play
‘ the Wall ‘ - a Pink Floyd masterpiece.
I was so proud of these “little people” and what
they achieved. Both parents and family filled 450 seats both
nights making the applause sound like a thunderstorm!
It made me chuckle when the volunteer who had to dress up
as' the Shrek' and dance wearing green tights and Shrek full
sized mask, tripped over a speaker and we saw his head roll
off revealing his true identity!! He turned from Green to
red in seconds! Priceless!
BUY THE CDS HERE!
The acoustic EP and the latest album 'A Perfect Day for travel'
are still only a click away to purchase a copy on the SHOP
page of the site and I think would go nicely on your collectable
CD rack!
Its also available on ITUNES….if you’re
IPOD inclined..(search Bryce Wastney)
August Update: AMPED FUNDRAISER GIG A TOTAL
SUCCESS!
Approx 200 young people attended the WAVES youth
commmunity health centre fundraiser event held recently in
New Plymouth's Racecourse events centre. A DJ, 2 bands and
Bryce and Steph Picquette performed acoustic duo chill out
session to finish the night off right.
Organiser Ricky Malcom said "it was great
to see Taranakis youth work together and have a great party
without the presense of drugs and alcohol."
They plan to do more events like this in the
future. The event attracted some major funding from local
and international buisness, which means the WAVES
team can keep up their great work with local supporting
Taranaki young people
